Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Hukkup when you use our website and apps: who can join, how to behave, how payments work, and what happens when the rules are broken.

Privacy Policy →1.The agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and [Legal entity name], [Registered address], India ("Hukkup", "we", "us"), covering your use of the Hukkup website at hukkup.com and our mobile apps (together, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2.Who can use Hukkup
Hukkup is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old — or older, where the law of your country sets a higher age — to create an account or use the Service.
By using Hukkup you confirm that you are legally able to enter into this agreement, that you are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law, that you have not previously been banned from Hukkup, and that you have not been convicted of a sexual offence or an offence involving violence.
We may ask you to verify your age or identity at any time, and may restrict or close an account if we reasonably believe a member is under 18.
3.Your account
- One person, one account. Do not create an account for someone else, or a new account after we have suspended or banned you.
- Give accurate information, including your date of birth, and keep it up to date.
- Use photos of yourself. Do not impersonate anyone or misrepresent who you are.
- Keep your password and sign-in codes secret. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at once at hukkupsupport@gmail.com if you think someone else has accessed it — you can also sign out any device from Settings.
- Do not sell, transfer or share your account.
4.Community guidelines
Hukkup is a space where LGBTQ+ people should feel safe being themselves. You must not use the Service to post, send or do any of the following:
- Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, intimidate or abuse anyone, on or off the platform.
- Hate speech or discrimination, including on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, caste, religion, ethnicity, disability or HIV status.
- Share intimate or sexual images of anyone without their consent, send unsolicited sexual images, or threaten to share someone's images or messages ("sextortion").
- Anything that involves, depicts or sexualises anyone under 18. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities.
- Offer, request or advertise sex for money, escort services, or anything connected with human trafficking or exploitation.
- Spam, scams, pyramid schemes, or asking members for money, gifts, financial details or cryptocurrency.
- Impersonate a person, organisation or Hukkup staff, or use someone else's photos.
- Out someone, or reveal another person's sexual orientation, gender identity, location, contact details or other private information without their consent.
- Promote violence, self-harm, illegal drugs or other illegal activity.
- Use bots, scrapers, fake accounts or automation; interfere with the Service, its security or other members' use of it; or try to work around a block, suspension or ban.
- Use Hukkup for commercial promotion without our written permission.
Treat people as you would want to be treated. If something feels wrong, block the person and report them in the app.
5.Boss role
A Boss is a trusted member who can host audio rooms and add safe places to the map. The role is a privilege, not a right.
- To become a Boss you must apply, and your account must be active and have passed an identity (KYC) check that is still current. There is no way to skip the identity check.
- We may approve or refuse an application at our discretion and will tell you the reason for a refusal.
- We may suspend or revoke the Boss role at any time — for example if you break these Terms, misuse room moderation tools, or your identity check expires. Suspending or revoking the role ends any rooms you are hosting.
- As a host you must moderate your rooms fairly and in line with these Terms, and must not use host tools to harass or target anyone.
- A Boss is not an employee, agent or representative of Hukkup.
6.Safe-place suggestions
Verified members and Bosses can suggest places for the map. Suggestions must be real, public, staffed venues — such as cafés, bars, restaurants or community centres — in the categories the app offers. Never suggest a private home, a hotel room, an unstaffed location or any place where someone could be put at risk.
Every suggestion is reviewed by a moderator before it appears. Do not include phone numbers or other contact details in a description. Flags against a place must be honest; flags are reviewed by a moderator and cannot remove a place on their own.
A place appearing on the map is not a guarantee that it is safe, welcoming or open.
7.Audio rooms
Audio rooms are live conversations. Hukkup never records them, and neither may you.
- Do not record, capture, transcribe or rebroadcast a room, or any part of what someone says in it, without the clear consent of everyone recorded.
- The community guidelines apply in full in rooms. Hosts and co-hosts may mute or remove participants, and we may end any room.
- What you say in a room can be heard by everyone in it. Do not share anything you would not want strangers to hear.
8.Premium, coins and payments
Some features are paid: Premium subscriptions, boosts and coins (an in-app currency used, for example, for paid calls). Current prices, what each plan includes and any renewal terms are shown in the app before you pay. Prices may change; a change does not affect a period you have already paid for.
- Payments are processed by Stripe on its own checkout pages and are subject to Stripe's terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the period you paid for.
- Coins have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred outside the app, or used outside Hukkup, except where the app expressly provides for it.
- For paid calls, coins are only charged once the call connects and in line with the prices shown when the call started. Calls that never connect are refunded in coins.
- Unless the law requires otherwise or the app says so, payments are non-refundable. If you think you were charged in error, contact hukkupsupport@gmail.com.
- If we close your account for breaching these Terms, unused coins and the rest of a paid period may be forfeited, to the extent the law allows.
9.Moderation and enforcement
We use automated checks and human moderators to keep Hukkup safe. Automated checks may hold content for review or, in clear cases, refuse it. Reports from members are reviewed by people.
If you break these Terms, we may — depending on how serious it is — remove content, give you a warning, limit features such as messaging or calls, ask you to verify again, suspend your account for a period, or ban it permanently. A ban applies to you, not just an account: we take steps to stop banned members returning on the same device or with the same email address.
We will tell you what action was taken. If you think we got it wrong, contact hukkupsupport@gmail.com and a person will review it. We may also report illegal content or activity to the police or other authorities.
10.Meeting people and Safe Meet
Safe Meet is not an emergency service. It does not contact the police or emergency services. If you are in danger, call 112 (India's emergency number) or your local emergency number immediately.
Safe Meet lets you set a check-in timer and share where you are going with people you trust, who are alerted if you do not check in. It depends on your device, your connection and the people you chose; we cannot guarantee that an alert is delivered, read or acted on.
We do not run criminal background checks on members, and a verification badge only means a member passed the check described in our Privacy Policy. Meeting someone in person is at your own risk. Some tips:
- Meet for the first time in a busy public place, and make your own way there and back.
- Tell a friend where you are going and who you are meeting — Safe Meet can help.
- Keep your phone charged, and stay in control of your drinks and belongings.
- Do not share your home address, financial details or intimate images before you trust someone.
- Trust your instincts: leave if something feels wrong, and report anyone who makes you feel unsafe.
11.Your content and our licence
You keep ownership of the photos, text and other content you post ("Your Content"). You are responsible for it, and you confirm that you have the right to post it and that it does not break these Terms or anyone else's rights.
You give Hukkup a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, display and transmit Your Content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the Service — for example to show your profile to other members and to moderate content. The licence ends when Your Content or your account is deleted, except for copies we must keep as described in our Privacy Policy.
Hukkup's name, logo, design and software belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute them, except as the law allows.
12.Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or about the conduct of any member, the accuracy of anything members post, or the safety of any place shown on the map. Features may change or be withdrawn.
Hukkup AI and other automated suggestions can be wrong. Use your own judgement.
13.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Hukkup is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, or for anything caused by another member's behaviour on or off the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and [INR amount].
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer under Indian law.
You agree to compensate Hukkup for losses caused by your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Service, to the extent the law allows.
14.Ending this agreement
You can pause your account, or delete it at any time from Settings → Privacy & Safety; deletion completes after a short grace period described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close your account as described above. Sections that by their nature should survive — such as the content licence for retained copies, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — continue to apply.
15.Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have under consumer protection law, the courts at [City], India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.
Before going to court, please contact us at hukkupsupport@gmail.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
16.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Hukkup after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply; if you do not agree, you can delete your account.
